Classic Car and Flea Market Hemsloh 2023

The Oldieschrauber - a club dedicated to the preservation of classic cars, invited everyone to the second classic car and flea market today.

On the day of German Unity, we also headed to Hemsloh despite the rainy weather. There was enough space for classic cars on the grounds of the old school and the adjacent country inn Nüßmann, with 7000m² available. Shortly after our arrival, the weather improved somewhat, which drew more and more people outside.

Overall, there were only a few vehicles present. However, contrary to our expectations, a large part of them were Eastern vehicles. Among others, the Trabant Club "Ems-Pappen" showcased numerous vehicles on site. For many, the Trabant is the epitome of Eastern vehicles from the former GDR. However, not every vehicle here was original; instead, many had been individually modified by their respective owners.

For us, the special highlight was the arrival of several Dacia 1300 and Renault 12 drivers. We never expected to meet several like-minded individuals at the small gathering in Hemsloh. This gave us the rare opportunity to not only discuss the vehicles but also to fine-tune and exchange spare parts. We will stay in touch and will surely meet again at some other events, whether for Eastern vehicles or for everyone.

Finally, we couldn't resist the tempting call of the schnitzel buffet at the country inn to wrap up the day. After a refreshing meal, we headed back home.
